KALAMAZOO (WWJ) A Kalamazoo man was arrested for allegedly selling large amounts of heroin and fentanyl after a months-long investigation.
In a social media statement, the Kalamazoo Public Safety Department said The Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team executed a warrant on Thursday, December 12th, on Concord Place in Oshtemo Township, just outside of the city. The investigation stemmed from tipsters sharing information about a 55-year-old man selling heroin and fentanyl.
Investigators identified the man and learned he was on federal probation with a warrant for violating his conditions.
They had searched for multiple months for where he was living. The search of his home yielded delivery amounts of heroin, fentanyl, crystal meth and cocaine, police said.
He was arrested on his warrant and safely taken into custody outside of his house. Additional charges will be brought against him, according to police.
The man’s name was not released.
