(WWJ) The kitten Troy police rescued from a car engine last month has found her furrever home, just in time for Christmas.

She was rescued in early November from inside the car engine after Good Samaritans heard her crying and sprang into action. It took them 45 minutes to cajole the little one free.

She spent the first night with an officer, then moved to Tigerlilly Rescue.

Now, Olive (as she is now called) will have a family to spend the holidays with. Her new Mom even picked her up wearing a T-shirt with the face of Pawfficer Donut on it, Troy Police's iconic police cat.

To top it all off, Olive also got a promotion to Reserve Pawfficer.
