Kroger aims to hire 2,000 Michigan employees during job fair

(WWJ) -- Like a lot of businesses, Kroger has ‘Help Wanted’ signs up at its various stores.

The company is looking to hire 2,000 new workers throughout Michigan during a job fair on Thursday, June 10.

Kroger stores will be doing interviews both in-person and virtually this afternoon between 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Some of the jobs available include cashier, stocker, and pharmacy technician.

“Kroger is one of the largest employers in the country and our longstanding culture of opportunity has created an environment where many people, whether it be a cashier, stocker, or pharmacy technician, come for a job and stay for a career,” said Stephanie Spangler-Opdyke, Michigan Division human resources leader.

Kroger is also looking to hire people to help with their e-commerce business.

The popular grocery chain offers its employees comprehensive compensation packages, including competitive wages, healthcare, and retirement, as well as training and education programs, and discounts on groceries, electronics, and more.

Kroger’s hiring event is open to everyone, including veterans, high school and college students, retirees, and people with physical and intellectual disabilities.
