
IMLAY CITY (WWJ) - A fifth grader in Imlay City was taken out of class on Tuesday after they allegedly made threatening statements toward other students.
Officials for Borland Elementary School, located at 500 W Borland Road in Imlay City, told WWJ that an investigation with the Imlay City Police has been opened on the student after they were made aware of an incident earlier in the school day.
According to the school, the student allegedly made concerning comments to two other students, who immediately informed a teacher before local police were involved.
The fifth grader was removed from school and their parents were notified of the incident. Officials said there is no threat to any students at this time.
No other information was released by authorities. An investigation into the incident is underway.
