(WWJ) A trip to a Lincoln Park gas station turned into a million-dollar payday for one lucky Wayne County woman.
The 63-year-old bought the last three "Lady Luck 777" scratch-offs on the roll at Triple-A Fuels on Dix Highway.
She won on all three tickets -- with the final one revealing the one-million-dollar top prize.
“There were only three left, so I bought them all," said the winner, who chose to remain anonymous.
“I scratched the tickets and saw I’d won on all three of them, but I didn’t scratch off the amounts. I scanned them at the store and the first came back as a $100 winner, the second a $50 winner, and the third came back with a message to file a claim at the lottery office. I asked the clerk what it meant, and he said I must have a big winner."
That's when she went to her car and scratched the amount to see she's hit the jackpot. "The first thought that went through my head was that I can live easier now," she said.
Lottery officials said the woman opted for the lump-sum payment of around $693,000 — rather than taking smaller annuity payments totaling $1 million over time.
She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize.
Lottery officials say players have won more than $39 million playing Lady Luck 777, which launched in August 2025. Tickets are $10 each.
