(WWJ) A woman and one year old girl are in the hospital after they were shot on Detroit's northeast side early Wednesday morning.
Detroit police say the shooting took place in the 19000 block of Binder Street near Seven Mile and Ryan at approximately 3:30 a.m.
Detroit Police Deputy Chief Arnold Williams says officers responded to a shotspotter call and found a home riddled with bullets. The victims went to a home on Concord Street, where they had additional family, and 911 was called.
"A 24 year old black female as well as a one year old black female were both shot, the 24 year old black female she was shot in her hand, the one year old black female was shot in the leg, they both went to the hospital, they're in stable condition right now," Williams said.
As for a suspect, information was limited early Wednesday morning.
"The only information we have on the incident is we possibly have one individual who may have got out of a car, fired shots, numerous shots and then he fled," Williams said.
Detectives found some evidence at the scene and were seeking other information to find the shooter.
