ST. CLAIR SHORES, Mich. (WWJ) -- A St. Clair Shores teacher accused of making threats against the middle school where she works is facing a criminal charge.

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido on Monday authorized one count of False Report or Threat of Terrorism, a 20-year felony, against 59-year-oldJohnna Rhone.

The woman, identified as a creative arts teacher at Jefferson Middle School in the Lakeview School district, was allegedly captured on video slipping hand written notes under multiple faculty members' office doors threatening school violence, which were discovered the morning of Friday, Dec. 17.

It's alleged that one of the notes read: "Start break early. He's gonna do it. Just don't be in the hall after lunch. Boom! Get it?"

Lucido said Rhone was scheduled to be arraigned in 40th District Court on Monday.

Lucido noted schools across Southeast Michigan have experienced a rash of threats since the Nov. 30 deadly shooting at Oxford High School; although this appears to be the first case involving a teacher in metro Detroit.

"This should never been a light on teachers," Lucido told WWJ's Charlie Langton. "It's an individual, it's an isolated (incident), and I hope that anything like this never happens again."

Lucido said his office is taking a "zero tolerance" approach when it comes to these threats — credible or not.

"We promise to prosecute every one of these threats," said Lucido. "That's the only way you can get the message across. There will not be a walk. There will not be leniency."
