HARRISON TWP. (WWJ) — A Macomb County woman has been charged with attempting to kill her roommate after an argument at their apartment escalated to a stabbing.

Sabrina Finnemore of Harrison Township was arraigned Friday on charges of assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon and domestic violence.

Macomb County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Prentiss Pointe Apartments in Harrison Township around 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday after getting reports of a domestic violence incident.

When deputies showed up they found Finnemore’s 36-year-old roommate — also her cousin — on the kitchen floor, pressing a cloth to her chest. The woman was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Finnemore, 34, remained in the apartment, according to the sheriff’s office. She admitted to arguing with her cousin and told police she remembered grabbing a knife, but “had no recollection of the incidents that followed,” officials said in a press release.

Finnemore was taken into custody without incident and arraigned two days later in 41-B District Court in Clinton Township. Her bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety.

Authorities have not released any further information about the incident, including what sparked the argument that led to the alleged stabbing. Officials did not disclose Finnemore’s next court date.
