DETROIT (WWJ) - A major crash involving a bus and a semi truck in Detroit is causing a traffic nightmare for drivers on I-75 Thursday morning.
"It's really incredible," WWJ's Charlie Langton reported live from the scene where the two right lanes were blocked by the crash. "It appears that both a DDOT bus and a semi truck both driving northbound on I- 75 near Seven Mile somehow, we're not sure if the cause of the incident here, the crash, but... both maybe lose control, but the bus ends up on the embankment facing upwards."
Langton said the bus had just left for the day and had no passengers on board. There are no reports of injuries at this time.
The messy scene will take awhile to clear, Langton said, as backups already started going all the way south through to 6 Mile and a little bit beyond.
"Just avoid this area," Langton advised.
