Northern Michigan man arrested for driving with two large knifes on dashboard, concealed loaded gun

TRAVERSE CITY (WWJ)Michigan State Police in the Traverse City area arrested a man with several weapons in his possession.

State Police said a trooper pulled over a driver early Thursday evening in Crystal Lake Township, about 40 miles southwest of Traverse City, for having an expired license.

The driver had “two large, fixed blade knives on the dashboard" (pictured above), State Police said.

Further investigation revealed the 33-year-old Arcadia man also had a loaded .40 caliber handgun on him, according to State Police. While it was registered to him, he did not have a Concealed Pistol License.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the Benzie County Jail where he’s awaiting charges.
