Man arrested and found to have crack cocaine in his underwear after allegedly meeting to sell drugs to police: MSP

FLINT (WWJ) - A man has been arrested for reportedly planning to sell drugs to the police.

The 29-year-old man from Flint was arrested for allegedly meeting with Michigan State Police troopers to sell the officers crack cocaine, authorities said.

Troopers assigned to the Flint Secure Cities Partnership said they arranged to meet the suspect in a public location under the guise of purchasing crack cocaine from the man.

Troopers said they were informed that the suspect may be a drug dealer on Dec. 17 after getting information from someone who was arrested during a traffic stop.

The man was found to have 14 grams of suspected crack cocaine in his underwear. A later search of his home found five grams of suspected fentanyl and two illegal pistols, police said.

The suspect, who authorities say is a convicted felon, was arrested for possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine and fentanyl, felon in possession of firearms and ammunition and felony firearm.

He is being held at the Genesee County Jail.
