(WWJ) A suspect has been arrested in connection with the alleged attempted sexual assault of a clerk at a Ferndale 7-Eleven.
The Ferndale Police Department had asked for the public's to identify and locate the man, who was caught on surveillance camera.
Just after 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said the man walked into the 7-Eleven at Mile Rd. and Pinecrest in Ferndale. He was in the convenience store, or standing out front, for around 30 minutes before it's alleged that he attempted to sexually assault the clerk.

The clerk resisted the attack and the suspect fled on foot, police said.
The clerk called 911, and police responded but could not find the man.
On Tuesday, not long after police have released store surveillance images of the suspect, the Ferndale PD sent an update saying the man was identified and arrested.
His name has not been released with expected charges pending.
