Police were told by a Target loss-prevention employee that the man was seen dragging the LG smart TV toward the exit without paying for it.

When confronted by an employee, he made a fist and threatened to hit her.

Officials were told that the man was last seen running south in Target's parking lot.

Police were lead to the Barnes & Noble at 3120 Fairlane Dr. following reports by a lieutenant that the suspect was inside.

But upon entering the book store, officers were told by employees that the man already left and ran east through the parking lot toward the Panera Bread at 3112 Fairlane Dr.

He was eventually found in the Panera Bread restroom where he was handcuffed, repeatedly gave a false name and kicked a car door into the officer.

Authorities said that while inside the cop car, the suspect began to make a phone call from his pocket while handcuffed. The officer then took away his phone, at which point the man head-butted the officer.

At the police station, he refused to be finger-printed and when placed in a holding cell, police said he took his pants off and threatened to urinate on the floor.

He also reportedly yelled out that he had COVID-19 and refused to wear a mask.

The man was arrested for strong arm robbery, assaulting a police officer, and interfering/obstructing.
