Clinton Twp. man accused of exchanging 'explicit material' with 13-year-old girl

(WWJ) - A Clinton Township man has been charged after allegedly sending explicit photos to a 13-year-old girl and having her explicit material to him.

The Michigan State Police Sault Ste. Marie Post began an investigation “involving a 13-year-old female and a 26-year-old male,” according to a Tweet from the MSP Second District.

The investigation was sent to the Metro North Post of the MSP once the suspect, Andrew John Furno, reported as 46-year-old in the Tweet, was identified as a Clinton Township resident.

It is alleged that Furno “sent sexually explicit photos of himself to the 13-year-old and convinced her to send nude photos and videos to him,” according to the MSP Tweet.

A search warrant was executed on Furno’s home on Jan. 25. Authorities seized multiple cell phones and a computer.

The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office charged Furno with Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Materials, Aggravated Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Materials, Accosting a Minor for Immoral Purposes, Using a Computer to Commit a Crime and Indecent Exposure on Jan. 26.

Furno was arraigned in the 41B District Court. He was given a $200,000/10% cash bond. He may not have contact with the victim, cannot use the internet and will be on house arrest and GPS tether if bond is posted.
