CHESTERFIELD TWP (WWJ)— Chesterfield Township Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle crash.
In a press release, Chesterfield Police said their officers were called to a motorcycle crash at Gratiot and Terra Industrial Drive, near 21 Mile, on Saturday (8/24) at 12:53 a.m.
Investigation revealed the motorcycle operator was driving southbound on Gratiot when he "lost control of his motorcycle" and crashed, police said.
No other vehicles were involved. He was wearing a helmet, according to police.
He passed away from his injuries at McLaren Macomb Hospital.
He was 53 years old. No other information was released about him.
