A Hillsdale man was allegedly crushed to death by a tree he was attempting to chop down.
Michigan State Police troopers at the Jackson post say the man was using a chainsaw to try to chop down the tree that had fallen down.
In the process, the tree rolled back on the man, trapped and killed him, police said.
The victim was 45 years old.
Police are investigating, but say no foul play is suspected.
