WARREN (WWJ) -- A man is dead and a woman is on police custody after a domestic violence shooting in Warren on Monday.
Investigators said the shooting at a home on Bolam Ave., between 9 Mile and 10 Mile roads near Groesbeck, involved two people with an extensive history of domestic violence.
According to Warren Police, the 29-year-old man is accused of forcing his way into the home of a 33-year-old woman, at around 4:20 p.m. on Nov. 4. When the man allegedly chased after the woman, police said the woman allegedly shot one time in the chest.
The man then left the home, police said, and Warren Police and EMS responded.
The wounded man was found on a nearby street and was taken to a local hospital where he died.
The woman told police that she and the man had been dating off and on for awhile. She was arrested at the scene, although it's not yet clear what charges she might face.
Further circumstances leading up to the shooting were not immediately released, as police continue to investigate.
