CLINTON TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- A Metro Detroit man has been killed after being struck by three vehicles while crossing a busy road on Saturday night.

According to Clinton Township Police, it was just after 11 p.m. when 57-year-old Alan Graves of New Baltimore was walking northbound on Gratiot Avenue at eastbound Hall Road. He is said to have "disregarded” the 'Don’t Walk’ signal at the crosswalk, and stepped into the street while drivers on Hall Road still had a green light.

While in the crosswalk, Graves was knocked down after he was clipped by a vehicle’s side-view mirror. He was then struck by two other vehicles, and later died from his injuries.

Police say all three drivers stopped and cooperated in the investigation, and all were cleared of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, a toxicology report on Graves is still pending.

Anyone with addition informational on the crash is asked to contact the Clinton Township Police Department.
