DETROIT (WWJ) - One man is dead after police believe someone shot him during a robbery attempt at Coney Island restaurant in West Detroit on Thursday morning.
The Detroit Police Department confirmed the victim, a 34-year-old man, was shot and killed at the L George's Coney Island at Joy and Evergreen around 2:30 a.m.
The details surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Police said they're not sure if the victim had any ties to the Coney Island. He has so far not been identified by police.
The investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released by authorities.
