Man in his 20s fatally shot inside his home on Detroit's west side, police searching for suspects
DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are searching for suspects after a young man was killed in what's believed to have been a drive-by shooting.
According to investigators, a man in his 20s died after he was shot multiple times while inside his home, at around 1 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16. on the city's west side.
WWJ Newsradio 950's Charlie Langton said police remained on the scene, on Patton St., in the area of Grand River Ave. and Outer Drive, late into the morning.
"Now, police had the yellow tape out for nearly six hours, canvassing the neighborhood, searching for clues," Langton reported. "...A lot of questions still to be answered: including whether or not the shooter was actually on foot. The shooter may have shot, and then another person may have picked up the shooter."
Police said it appears that the suspects fled quickly after the shooting, and there is no description of the suspect, or suspects, at this time.
A neighbor told Langton that there was another shooting at the same home just two days ago, but police did not immediately confirm that information to WWJ.
The name of the man who was killed has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing.
