NOVI (WWJ) -- Novi Police are investigating after a man was found dead in his home Monday night.
Novi Police said the body was discovered 9:30 p.m. on Monday on Joliet Court, in the Oakland Glens Mobile Home Park near 13 Mile Rd. and Novi.
Investigators said when the 46-year-old man didn't show up to work, officers were called to do a welfare check.
He was the only person inside the home at the time, police said.
There is no known cause of death, as police said the circumstances surrounding the man's death remain under investigation.
Novi police said rumors have been going around in the neighborhood about possible shots fired in the area on Saturday, but at this time there's no evidence that happened. Police said these reports appear to be unrelated to the man's death.
His name has not been released.
Michigan State Police are assisting with the investigation.
