WATERFORD TWP. (WWJ) -- Police are investigating after a body was discovered in the parking lot of a movie theater in Oakland County's Waterford Township.
Waterford Township Police have confirmed that around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, a 911 call came in about man who had been found fatally shot outside MJR Waterford Cinema 16, located on Highland Rd.
WWJ Newsradio 950's Darrylin Horne reports police have identified the victim as a 28-year-old man, and said he was shot in the chest.
Detectives were able to track down a suspect. The 24-year-old man from West Bloomfield has since been taken into custody, and booked in the Oakland County Jail.
Police said this shooting was not a random act, but have not released any details about how the suspect and the victim knew each other, or what led up to the shooting,
