MIDLAND (WWJ) A Westland man is in custody in connection to a shooting inside a Midland Olive Garden.
The Midland Police Department said they were called to the Olive Garden in the Fairview Plaza on Eastman near M-10 on Sunday afternoon (6/2) for a shooting inside the restaurant.
When officers arrived around 4:06 p.m., they found the suspect inside the restaurant, according to police.
“The suspect resisted arrest but was eventually placed into custody,” Midland Police said in a press release.
Police identified one victim: a woman, 41, with a gunshot wound to her neck. She was taken to the hospital where she’s receiving treatment. Her condition has not been released.
Officers’ investigation revealed it was related to an “isolated, domestic incident.”
The suspect; a man, 41 of Westland; was treated on scene by EMS and was taken to Midland County Jail where he awaits arraignment.
