(WWJ) Police are searching for answers in a deadly hit-and-run on Detroit's east side.
Police say the victim, 46, was crossing Gratiot in a wheelchair when a grey or tan 2007 Chevy Tahoe SUV struck him while traveling southbound. It happened Thursday (3/25) just after 12:20 a.m., in the area of Holcomb.
The driver of the Chevy Tahoe failed to stop.
Medics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The Tahoe's front end was damaged in the incident. Investigators found a piece of its front grill at the scene.

The victim's name has not been released.
