Ann Arbor Police said they responded to Packard Road and Fernwood Avenue, near Platt, on a report of a crash involving two motorcycles and a pickup pulling a trailer around 5:18 p.m. on Friday (4/5).
Police said preliminary investigation revealed the two motorcyclists were driving west on Packard when they “collided” with the pickup and trailer while it was turning left. The pickup and trailer was heading in the opposite direction from the motorcyclists.
One of the motorcyclists, 27 of Ann Arbor, was pronounced dead at Trinity Hospital. The second motorcyclist, 21 of Ann Arbor, is hospitalized with “non-life-threatening injuries,” according to police.
The truck driver, 46 of Ann Arbor, was not hurt. Police said speed likely contributed to the crash.
