ASH TWP. (WWJ) -- A 73-year-old Monroe County man is dead after getting stuck underneath a riding lawnmower over the weekend.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says David Flood of Carleton was operating the zero-turn mower at around 6:20 p.m. Sunday on the grass shoulder of West Labo Road east of Woodslee Drive in Ash Township when he lost control on a steep incline.
The mower overturned in the ditch and Flood was trapped underneath.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
No one else was hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
