DETROIT (WWJ) -- Can anyone help police identify this brazen thief?
The Detroit Police Department is asking for tips from the public to identify and locate a man who was caught on camera stealing a cartful of goods from a business on the city's east side.
According to the police, the crime happened on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at a dollar store in the 17200 block of E. Warren.
Investigators said the suspect entered the store shortly after 2:30 p.m. and walked back to the stockroom. There, he loaded up a cart up with merchandise, and then wheeled over to a pickup truck parked outside.


Police said the man unloaded the car into the bed of dark colored Dodge Dakota — with a light top and black racing stripes — and fled the scene.
The suspect remained as large as of Jan. 17. He was last seen wearing a tan jacket with a green shirt underneath, and dark pants.
