Police looking for man who robbed bank in Detroit by handing teller a note that read: 'Bank Robbery' [PHOTOS]

DETROIT (WWJ) -- Detroit police are asking for tips from the public as they work to identify an alleged bank robber.

At around 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, police said the suspect walked into a bank in the 7700 block of Michigan Ave., near Central St., walked up to a teller, and handed her a note that read: "Bank Robbery."

After the teller gave the suspect some money, police said he want to a second teller who handed over some more money.

The robber then fled the area on foot. No one was hurt.

The suspect is described as a male with curly hair, 5’8” to 5’9” tall and weighing 190 lbs. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, white cloth facemask, and all dark clothing.

Police released three surveillance images of the suspect on Monday.
