WAYNE COUNTY (WWJ) - Police are investigating after a man was struck several times by gunfire at a Romulus apartment complex early Friday morning.
Romulus Police and Fire Rescue said officers responded to an apartment building off of Niagara Street after nearby residents reported that they had heard several gun shots in the area around 6 a.m. on Sept. 8.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a 35-year-old male victim who had been shot multiple times.
The man was transported to a local hospital where he is said to be in critical condition.
It is unclear what lead up to the shooting, but detectives are continuing to investigate the incident.
There's no word on a suspect or suspects or what led to the shooting at this time.
