(WWJ) Investigators are asking for help from the public to identify a man wanted on a charge of aggravated assault.
The suspect was caught on video on Wednesday, October 14, at a business in the 8200 block of E. Jefferson Ave. on Detroit's east side.
At around 2:45 p.m., police say two female employees, ages 59 and 21, were busy cleaning when the man walked in, approached the older woman and struck her in the face -- causing a deep laceration.
The victim was taken to a local hospital were she listed in stable condition.
No other injuries were reported.
The suspect, who fled on foot after the attack, was described as a Black male. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hoodie and a sweatshirt underneath, with blue jean pants, and white framed sunglasses.

Police on Thursday released security video and a still image of the man, in hope that someone in the public will recognize him.
