DETROIT (WWJ) -- A man is facing charges after shooting someone inside a Downtown Detroit apartment complex two months ago.
On March 29, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Joshua Deante Brown-McClure, 24, in connection with the non-fatal shooting of a 25-year-old Detroit man.
At approximately 8:07 a.m. on March 27, Detroit police officers were dispatched to an apartment building in the 110 block of Cadillac Square in Downtown Detroit on a report of a shooting.
It is alleged that a physical altercation inside the apartment unit between Brown-McClure and the victim escalated. A handgun was fired, which non-fatally wounded the victim.
Upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper right arm and abdomen inside the lobby of the building.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Brown-McClure, of Trenton, was arrested at the scene.
Brown-McClure has been charged with one count of Assault with Intent to Murder, one count of Felonious Assault and two counts of Felony Firearm.
He was arraigned on May 8 in the 36th District Court and given a $100,000/10% bond.
The probable cause conference is scheduled for May 18, at 8:30 a.m. and the preliminary examination is scheduled for May 25, at 8:45 a.m.
