(WWJ) Livingston County authorizes are asking for help finding an elderly man who has been missing since Saturday afternoon.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office said 85-year-old Jerry Spaulding is a white male, 5'8'' tall and weighing 160 lbs., with gray hair.

He was last seen wearing a red and green western-style shirt, blue jeans and work boots, and may also have a with a hat and a walking stick.

Officials said Spaulding left his home to go for a walk in the nearby woods and didn't return.

Authorities searched a 40-acre area Saturday night on foot and with drones, but didn't find him. The investigation then expanded to about 100 acres Sunday morning when search and rescue teams from Oakland and Lapeer Counties joined in.

But a search with ATVs and police dogs again came up empty.

Search efforts were set to resume on Monday.

Officials are asking anyone who may have seen Spaulding, or who has any information that could help investigators find him to call the Livingston County Sheriff's Office at 517-546-9111.
