MDOT holding virtual career fair Thursday; 100+ jobs available

(WWJ) -- If you’re looking for a new job this fall, the Michigan Department of Transportation may be a good place to start.

With more than 100 positions to fill, MDOT is holding a virtual career fair Thursday afternoon, from 3-7 p.m.

The department says it is in need of more than 100 limited-term winter maintenance workers in all regions of the state. The only requirement for applicants is a Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL); all other training will be provided.

Other available positions include electricians, internships, transportation engineers, transportation maintenance workers (seasonal and full-time), transportation planners, transportation technicians, and other skilled trades and professional positions.

Interested candidates can find more information about available positions on the MDOT website.

Anyone interested in attending Thursday’s career fair can text “MDOT” to 25000 or visit https://oli.vi/Rrp65.

MDOT says it is holding a series of virtual career fairs, but did not say when the next event would be.
