(WWJ) -- Meijer is offering a solution to those who need to stock up on essentials but want to avoid the crowds.
The Grand Rapids-based grocery chain announced on Monday, Jan. 17 that shoppers can utilize the Meijer delivery service free of cost for orders of $35 or more.
Company officials say they are offering the service for free now through Jan. 29 to assist customers who are trying navigate the current challenges being posed by the COVID-19 pandemic as cases surge across Michigan.
Customers can shop online through the Meijer website or use the mobile app to choose their items and schedule a delivery or pick-up time.
The free delivery service is available at all Meijer locations, including the chain's 118 stores in Michigan.
