2 Metro Detroit men facing charges as drugs, gun, car and money seized from Warren home

WARREN (WWJ) — Two Metro Detroit men are facing charges after a narcotics investigation in Macomb County led to their arrest, along with the seizure of drugs, money and a gun.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Enforcement Team (SET) arrested James Freeman of Lincoln Park and Christopher Hash of Warren last Tuesday.


The men were allegedly involved in "distributing large amounts of narcotics throughout Macomb County."

A raid on a home in Warren led to the seizure of about 105 grams of suspected fentanyl, 4 grams of crack cocaine, a black Taurus 9mm handgun and more than $3,800 in cash, according to the sheriff's office.

Authorities also seized a Dodge Charger and narcotics scales and packaging material. Both men were arrested without incident.

Freeman, 41, was charged with:
• Controlled Substance - delivery/manufacture (cocaine, heroin, or another narcotic) 50 to 449 grams (a 20-year felony)
• Controlled Substance – Possession (cocaine, heroin, or another narcotic) less than 25 grams (a 4-year felony)
• Felony firearm (a 2-year felony)

Hash, 42. was charged with:
• Controlled Substance - delivery/manufacture (cocaine, heroin, or another narcotic) less than 50 grams (a 20-year felony)

Bond was set at $25,000, no 10% cash/surety for both men, according to the sheriff's office.

Authorities have not released any further information about the case, including where the home was located or when the investigation began.
