(WWJ) -- It’ll be an especially great weekend to enjoy the outdoors in Michigan!
This Saturday and Sunday mark “Three Free Weekend” for all Michigan state parks.
That means that on June 10 and June 11, residents and non-residents can go fishing, ORV riding, and gain entry into all state parks, free of charge.
As there’s a lot to enjoy, as Michigan is home to 103 state parks and boasts 4,000 miles of state-designated off-roading trails.
Michigan Department of Natural Resources Parks says the purpose of “3 Free” weekend is to introduce Michiganders to new outdoor activities.
Park goers can also go without a fishing license and ORV license, or a trail permit, on Saturday and Sunday.
