Michigan State Police seize $40,000 worth of meth and crack in Canton, Wayne

(WWJ) — Charges are expected to be filed soon after Michigan State Police made a big drug bust in Wayne County on Thursday.

Detectives with MSP’s Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team (MNET) executed a pair of search warrants in Canton Twp. and Wayne on Thursday, though officials didn’t specify exactly where the raids took place.

Authorities seized nearly 9 lbs. of methamphetamine and “an amount of crack cocaine” and the suspect was arrested, MSP officials said.

The drugs have an estimated street value of $40,000, according to MSP.

Officials did not disclose any information about the investigation that led to the search warrants and no info on the suspect has been released.

MNET detectives were assisted by the MSP Metro South Post, and Downriver SWAT.
