MIDLAND (WWJ) A Midland man died after officers found him under a dam, police said.
Midland Police said officers responded to reports of an unmanned kayak on the Tittabawassee River, near the dam on the Dow property, on Saturday, May 2 around 11:45 a.m.
Officers learned of a body stuck under the dam, police said. They then pulled him from the water.
Authorities pronounced the man, 50, dead at the scene. They're withholding his name pending notification of his family.
Police said the medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine his cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
