RIVERVIEW (WWJ) -- Police Downriver are asking for the public's help as they search for a missing teenager.

According to the Riverview Police Department, 16-year-old Alexis Barbuzinski was last seen at around 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, at the McDonald's at 16515 Fort Street, near Kroger and the Beaumont Urgent Care, in Southgate.

Police said the teen left the location in a dark-colored Ford Fusion. She did not return home, and hasn't been in contact with family or friends since she was reported missing.

Barbuzinski is described as a white female, 5'1" tall and weighing around 90 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a burgundy top and blue jean shorts.

Police said the car the teen got into was an either black or dark blue approximately 2010 Ford Fusion (pictured). It appeared to have stock rims and a tinted license plate cover. There is no information on the plate number at this time.
