LA SALLE TWP. (WWJ) — A Monroe County man is facing charges for allegedly breaking in and stealing items from multiple homes last month.
Joshua Doll of Monroe has been arraigned on two counts of second-degree home invasion and felony firearm.
Monroe County Sheriff's deputies were called to a home on Stein Road in La Salle Township on Feb. 21 after the homeowner came home and found a suspect, later identified as Doll, inside, according to police.
Authorities say the homeowner confronted Doll, who ran from the home.
Doll, 32, was arrested the following day after detectives were able to identify him as a suspect, officials said. He was allegedly in possession of valuables, but authorities were not sure where they came from.
Detectives were able to comb through evidence linking Doll to another home invasion that happened on Feb. 5 at an Ida Township home on Jackman Road. Detectives returned some stolen property to the victims.
Authorities have not said what items Doll allegedly stole.
The sheriff's office is asking anyone who knows something about Doll's alleged home invasions to call lead Detective Joshua Motylinski at 734-240-7530.
