(WWJ) -- It’s no secret that we are in the middle of a historic time for housing and home sales.

The latest numbers are showing “Day on the Market” for houses at their lowest levels in 18 years.

That means that a house for sale is only available to buy for 30 days, with Detroit realtor Jeff Glover telling WWJ that the market is so tight at the moment, things are actually becoming less attractive to some buyers.

Still, many Michiganders are on the hunt for a new home, and are wondering where they can get the biggest bang for their buck.

According to info compiled by the Michigan Realtors (via MLive.com), here are the most and least expensive areas to buy over the past year, and the areas that had the biggest price increases.
