PONTIAC (WWJ) -- The second preview day of Motor Bella is a casualty of metro Detroit's heavy rains.
Organizers of the North American International Auto Show say that all Motor Bella activities that were scheduled for Wednesday have been cancelled for safety reasons.
Instead, the Detroit Auto Dealers association will focus on preparing for Thursday's public opening of the auto show.
WWJ's Jeff Gilbert reports that there has already been some flooding and water damage to exhibit areas, and rain is expected to continue throughout the day.
The official kick off of Motor Bella remains on schedule, and gates are set to open for Public Days at 9 a.m. on Thursday at the M1 Concourse in Pontiac.
