(WWJ) - A high-speed chase from Metro Detroit to the Flint area, that reached speeds of 130 miles per hour, ended thanks in part to a Michigan State Police helicopter.

The Michigan State Police Second District Twitter posted a video from Trooper 3, a MSP helicopter, that showed the chase.

The Tweet, posted on March 8, showed a time stamp of around 7:35 p.m. on March 7 at the beginning of the video to about 8:50 p.m. at the end.

The vehicle, which one of the troopers in the helicopter identified as a Chrysler 300, drove south on the Southfield Freeway before getting on I-75.

It is unclear at this time what began the chase.

Authorities said that while driving through Oakland County, the vehicle reached speeds of 130 miles per hour.

The video showed the vehicle coming to a stop and reversing before going back the other way. One of the troopers in the helicopter said they were at the Holly exit ramp, which the vehicle drove up.

The vehicle eventually pulled into a McDonalds at West Hill Road and Hill 23 Drive, which is near Bishop International Airport.

A man was seen getting out of the driver’s seat and a woman exited on the passenger side.

A MSP vehicle pulled up behind the pair as they appeared to be walking toward the restaurant. The two were taken into custody.

It isn’t known currently what charges they could be facing.
