WAYNE (WWJ) — Michigan State Police are investigating what they call the "suspicious" death of an 8-year-old in Metro Detroit.
Authorities were called to a home on Phyllis — in the area of Van Born and Wayne Roads — around 7:30 a.m. Saturday to investigate the death.
Detectives interviewed the child's parents on Saturday and searched the home for evidence.
While authorities completed the on-scene evidence collection portion of the investigation, the autopsy to determine the child's cause of death was still pending, MSP officials said on Sunday.
No arrests have been made.
Authorities have not released any other circumstances surrounding the child's death.
