LIVONIA (WWJ) -- An investigation is underway in connection with potential fraud at a Michigan Lottery office in Metro Detroit — but officials say it has nothing to do with your tickets.

According to a statement by Michigan State Police, officers with the MSP's Fraud Investigation Section were at the Michigan Lottery office in Livonia on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation.

MSP said its investigators are working in cooperation with Michigan Lottery Investigators on this case, but did not share any further details.

Responding to a request by WWJ for comment on Friday, Michigan Lottery officials at the Livonia office released a statement, saying:

"The Michigan Lottery is committed to integrity and transparency. This investigation was initiated by the Lottery and is in no way connected to the integrity of Lottery games. The Lottery will continue to partner with the Michigan State Police in their ongoing investigation."

No arrests have been announced in connection with this investigation.

There are Michigan Lottery claim centers in Livonia, Detroit, Sterling Heights, Grand Rapids and Saginaw. The Michigan Lottery's headquarters is located in Lansing.
