MACOMB COUNTY (WWJ) – A considerable amount of drugs are off the street after a major bust in Macomb County this week.
Michigan State Police Officials say the County of Macomb Enforcement Team (COMET) investigated a drug trafficking organization in Macomb County ahead of the bust.
The investigation led to the seizure of a 1/2 kilo of crystal meth, a 1/4 lb. of fentanyl and 10 lbs. of marijuana.
While authorities did not release many details about the bust, including where it happened, officials said they also recovered a stolen 9mm pistol and more than $5,000 in cash.
Officials did not say whether anyone was arrested.
MSP said the project was supported by a Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant, which was awarded by the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), and administered by the Michigan State Police.
