MSP: semi-trailer containing $300,000 worth of electronics stolen from truck stop

WHITEFORD TWP., Mich. (WWJ) -- Michigan State Police are searching for a semi-trailer containing more than $300,000 worth of electronics that was stolen from a truck stop in Monroe County last week.

MSP say around 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17 the driver who was hauling the trailer discovered it had been stolen from the Pilot Travel Center near the US-23, US-223 interchange.

The trailer apparently contained more than $300,000 worth of televisions, MSP said.

The driver had parked the trailer at the Pilot Travel Center around 4 a.m. Thursday.

Police say the stolen trailer is described as a white, Manac 53’ box trailer with Charger Logistics logos. The trailer has an Ontario license plate, No. T58 26Z.

Authorities did not have any information on a possible suspect, but are asking anyone who has information regarding the theft to contact Trooper Ben Lambrix of the Monroe Post at 734-242-3500.
