(WWJ) It's just a joke... maybe.

Probably.

The Michigan State Police Eighth District, which handles the Upper Peninsula, took to social media on Friday to warn Wolverine football fans headed out-of-state for Saturday's Michigan v. Wisconsin game to watch their speeds on Wisconsin highways.

Particularly following the contest, which kicks off at noon on Oct. 2.

MSP wrote on Twitter: "A warning to all of us Michiganders driving through Wisconsin this weekend. I'm guessing those Wisconsin Highway Patrol Troopers will be targeting us, especially after the thrashing our U of M Wolverines will be putting on their Badgers tomorrow!!"

There was no immediate response from the Wisconsin State Patrol, which was tagged in the tweet.

You'll be able to listen to the game on WWJ Newsradio 950 on the radio at 950 on the AM dial, or 97.1 HD-2 in your HD radio. All U-M football games also stream live right here at WWJNewsradio.com, and on the free Audacy App.

The live broadcast begins at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
