ROSEVILLE (WWJ) - Westbound I-94 has reopened after a bad traffic crash involving multiple vehicles including a wrecked semi and smashed in FedEx truck left all lanes of the freeway blocked for several hours.

The crash, which happened around 8 a.m. Tuesday, caused a fuel spill on the freeway near 12 Mile Road in the area of Roseville and St. Clair Shores. Clean-up efforts took about seven hours to get the freeway reopened.

Preliminary information says the semi-truck driver lost control of his rig and hit another truck before jack-knifing.

No injuries were reported.

A photo of the crash submitted by Moe Ittayem shows a FedEx truck entangled with a semi as it rests with the front windshield and top of the roof smashed in.

While the scene had cleared, traffic was still slow in the area, backed up from 14 Mile, as of 3:30 p.m.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned to WWJ for weather and traffic together at the :08s for the latest updates.
