DETROIT (WWJ) - One man is dead and two others are wounded after a disagreement spiraled out of control in a Detroit neighborhood late Monday night, authorities confirmed.
A Detroit Police Public Information Officer told WWJ that the shooting occurred in the 15700 block of St. Mary's Street, near Greenfield and Fenkell, where three adult males were shot during an argument just before midnight on March 20.
According to DPD, one victim is dead. The other two men were transported to a local hospital where one is stable while the other is listed in critical condition.
Authorities said all of those allegedly involved knew each other and there is no threat to the public as the incident appears to be isolated. Two people are being questioned by authorities, but no further details were provided.
There are reports the shooting began at one location and moved to another, but they remain unconfirmed by law enforcement. WWJ's Mike Campbell reported that Detroit police and Michigan State Police appear to be investigating at a brick bungalow on Murray Hill Street, just one block over.
Detroit police said the scene off St. Mary's was cleared around 5 a.m.
The identities of the victims were not released by authorities. Additional updates are expected to be made as police continue to investigate.
